A curriculum made to measure. As unique as you.
Private lessons of this kind are for students as well as for working professionals, depending on the subject.
Within the domain of my expertise I am always happy to be able to develop a new curriculum for my students. The topics should fit more or less within the subjects of computer science, engineering, physics, chemistry, or mathematics.
Examples
Some private lessons I have given in the past:
- A post-graduate (Masters) course on “Data Science for Business”, which I taught in 2023 based on the book of the same name by Provost, Foster and Fawcett. It covered the mathematical basis of data analysis like probability, the idea of entropy, and statistics. Then moved on to the software implementation using Python and Java.
- C++ for video games programming using Unreal Engine 5. This class started when Unreal Engine 5 was still in early access. It gave the student the opportunity to familiarise himself with some aspects of modern C++ as well as elements of video games from a programmer’s point of view. It also covered the node-based visual scripting of UE5’s “Blueprint” system
- Python basics for business: How to use Python in an office setting to automate repetitive tasks while also learning the basics of programming and algorithms
Getting Started
Because a custom curriculum is unique, it takes considerable time and effort to develop it. In my experience there will be a delay of 2-4 weeks between us agreeing on everything and the first lesson actually being held.
Before that, expect several emails, in-person-meetings, and calls to ensure that you (or your child) will be happy with the results.
